The
American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) had occupied the entire 106th
Floor at 2 World Trade Center. ABS relocated the majority of its
headquarters staff to Houston, Texas, while 22 staffers remained
but occupied space on a lower floor, the 91st, in the other tower.
Those corporate twists of fate would spare all their lives in the
horrible terrorist attack on 9/11.
Nelson
Construction had handled the construction requirements for ABS,
both at the World Trade Center and new offices at 45 Eisenhower
Drive, Paramus, New Jersey.
"Nelson
Construction came through for ABS at a time when we really needed
them. After the WTC disaster, we found ourselves squeezed into a
small field office. Nelson performed a complete overhaul of a larger
space in Paramus. Everything went smoothly and every little detail
was taken care of. They moved swiftly to get us into the new offices
in a short period of time with more than satisfactory results."
Claire
McIntyre, Manager-Administrative Services
American Bureau of Shipping

"A
major concern we worry about is how general contractors are going
to work with our people to keep our stores open. In the case of
Nelson Construction, their superintendents did an excellent job
communicating with our stores. They were fantastic!"
Ed
Sullivan, Building Planning
Tiffany & Co.

"Nelson
Construction has successfully completed several different types
of construction projects for Liz Claiborne Inc. From small maintenance
repairs to department store vendor shops and Manhattan street front
stores, NCI's dedication, versatility and high level of customer
service have shined through. NCI has earned our confidence and trust
by consistently delivering all these types of projects on schedule
and within budget."
Dan
Klacik, Construction Manager

"A
big issue in our business is delivering a good product on schedule.
Nelson Construction is very conscientious about adhering to a strict
construction timetable, while crafting a very high quality result."
